PreciseScribe.net is the online presence of Sherri Jolley, a freelance transcriptionist from central Ohio. I am a workaholic with a "Midwest work ethic" that lends itself well to the ever-changing dynamics of the court reporting industry. I am an avid reader with a knowledge base that covers multiple industries often reported on. I am a member of several online court reporting associations and forums, and strive to keep up with new technology and methods as they relate to our field.

Background:

I have an extensive legal and law enforcement background dating back over ten years. My prior legal experience includes working in support roles for both attorneys and local courts. My law enforcement background includes roles such as dispatcher, 9-1-1 operator and corrections officer.

I have parlayed that experience into my transcription/scoping business, and have been providing transcription and scoping services exclusively to the court reporting community for the past four years.

Partnership Philosophy:

My partnership philosophy is one that is predicated on synergy. I don’t believe in working for court reporters as much as I believe in working with them. I view each of my reporter clients as a partner in my business, and hope to align myself with reporters who view my role in their business similarly.

To me, communication is paramount to a successful partnership, especially when working at a distance. I provide all reporter partners with both a toll-free telephone and fax number, and I monitor my e-mail constantly throughout the day. I encourage reporters to provide feedback on jobs, changes in preferences, and other issues that may arise.
